Local resources are all natural resources and people who owned an area or country. Every country has its local resources and they can become strength to support food, energy, and trade. The exploration of those strength also related with one of the purposes of IAAS that is to facilitate ideas in the field of agriculture and prepares student to be able to solve agriculture problem they will face in the future. By bringing global agriculture mission, it is expected to bring modern agriculture progress. Indonesia and other members of IAAS can share opinions and suggestions for agriculture progress and agri-edu-tourism in Indonesia. As students on agriculture and related sciences, we can make agriculture as economics bases, to support food, energy, and trade.
The 53th IAAS World Congress that takes place in Indonesia, aim to make people all over the world believe that Indonesia is a really interesting place to be visited. Besides because it is based on agricultural economy and its beautiful sceneries, Indonesia pays so much attention on the diplomatic relation with other countries in the term of politics, social, culture, economic.
As the purpose mentioned above, the delegates of 53th IAAS World Congress will be served by seminars themed: “The Power of Local Resources to Support Food, Energy, and Trade: Food Security, Renewable Energy and Free Trade”, paper competition and presentation, and excursion (field trips) around different Local Committees of IAAS Indonesia.

  • To develop and to enhance Indonesia’s good image in the international world.
  • As a place and media to build communication and networking upon IAAS members (national and international scope) with several institutions such as government, NGO (Non Governmental Organization), and also stakeholders in Indonesia.
  • As a place and media to share ideas and experiences upon IAAS members (national and international scope), and also enrich Indonesian student’s knowledge on international agricultural issue.
